History
Established in 2005, DirectLights was first launched as a retail store, branding itself as "The LED Store". In the beginning selling mostly flashlights, accessories, and simple home type LED bulbs. The store allowed us to explore hands on what customers were looking for. We still carry this "open source" philosophy forward in our commercial products.
Quickly adapting to what the market place was asking for, we decided to focus 100% on the industrial and commercial sector. Moving our offices into a warehouse environment, we began the quest to fulfill the need of contractors, commercial markets,and municipalities. Here we learned that the market was flooded with imports that seemed to lack the high quality that the industry demanded. We also found that the "traditional" distribution systems that had been in place for a century, drastically inflated the end user prices.
After several years of importing and following the traditional sales rep model for selling products, we decided it was time to focus all our energy and resources on finding a supply chain that utilized domestic design and assembly for better quality control here in the U.S.A. Fast forward to 2012, and a complete overhaul on operations, directlights.net was born! U.S.A made, manufacture direct, and high quality consistency !
