Everlight Electronics of Taiwan and Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) are reportedly looking into establishing a joint venture LED company, according to a Digitimes article. Digitmes cited unnamed sources who said that the companies are expected to invite additional partners in the future. The partnership would reportedly extend their presence in the white LED packaging and backlight unit (BLU) market segments.
