Lite-On Technology and Delta Electronics, the two leading Taiwan makers of power supply products, continued to post strong revenues growth in January 2008 after their monthly consolidated figures hit the companies' highest levels, respectively, in December 2007, according to data released by the companies.
Lite-On posted consolidated revenues of NT$15.6 billion (US$493.7 million) in January, up 21.9% on year, although the amount was down 8.2% on month, the company reported.
The company's shipments of power supply and LED products remained strong in January, expanding by an annual rate of 48% and 19%, respectively, said the company.
Delta said that January consolidated revenues amounted to NT$12.33 billion, up 8.8% on month and 31% on year, with power supply products accounting for 60% of total revenues, followed by parts and components with 19%, electrical machinery with 5%, video products with 3%, and other items with 13%.
Both companies said revenues for February will be lower compared to those seen in January due to decreased working days in the month.
