Topic:  Industry Taiwan LED maker NeoPac Lighting has received LED MR16 orders for use in temples in Kyoto Japan, and the company estimates it will start volume shipments in the fourth quarter of this year or the first quarter in 2009. The MR16 is an indoor-use 7.5-watt LED light bulb, which can replace traditional 50-watt light bulbs. NeoPac also received orders for 100 80-watt cold white LED street lamps from Korea in the second quarter and the shipments are completed. The company also claims it has received contacts among officials in Seoul that can help it achieve more orders.

NeoPac Lighting was established in 2005 with the aim of developing LED lamps and LED light sources, and the company launched products at the end of 2007.
