Starchips (SCT) introduced its SCT2007 4 channel, high voltage, LED driver IC that is well suited for LED display and lighting. It features four channels of peak current mode control that include a switch for regulating the LED current, enabling 95 percent efficiency in LED display and lighting applications. Each channel features an integrated, 17V (Vout), quick response PWM with 22bit/sec built-in and linear dimming inputs. The well-controlled transient response of the driver’s peak current mode control enables implementation of local dimming and/or scanning mode applications for RGB & W Cluster.

SCT2007 featured of CLK sending the data to every connection, it returns the data back from the end to the original CLK to double confirm if the data flow correctly. It is to ensure the data have been sent correctly and quickly without error. The device can be synchronized to a system clock to eliminate beat frequencies and is with RoHS compliant. All four channels of the IC are equipped with short-circuit and over-temperature protection
