Sharp Showcased Zenigata-shaped COB Package, Being Easy For Luminaire Manufacturer In Assembly Process

Sharp has the completed COB product series Zenigata. The currency-shaped COB package is Sharp’s exclusive patent, with the most dominant product being easy for luminaire manufacturers to assemble lighting fixtures. In the beginning of 2013, Sharp added 100W COB, stressing the use of the new ceramic and composite substrate. Compared with conventional ceramic substrate, new substrate’s thermal resistance is only one-third, with an even better heat heat dispensation. This product’s luminous flux can reach 14000lm, luminous efficacy 143lm/W, and is mainly used for street lamp and high bay lighting application market. The product plans to have a sample presentation in March of 2013, and will reach mass production in May 2013.

In regards to the future LED lighting product trend, until the year 2015, Sharp believes that shop lighting, industrial lighting, public lighting all have optimistic development. Therefore, Sharp introduced luminous flux 23000lm high bay lighting, with a consuming power of only 222W, luminous efficacy reaching 103.6l/W, and a lifetime reaching about 60,000 hours.

LEDinside Perspective:

The Sharp’s vertical integration supply chain covers from LED package to luminaires. As for LED package, the design is easy for luminaire manufacturers in assembly process. Furthermore, when it comes to Sharp’s lighting, Sharp’s own characteristic - cherry colored bulbs and lamps- is going to expand a new lighting market trend. Moreover, Compared with panel technology which Sharp’s exclusive strength, taking the light guide panel concept and integrating it into ceiling light products. Integrated group recourses to expand LED lighting, in accordance to future development position corresponding clear, makes people look forward to the continued direction of development.
