GlacialLight Releases New Plant Growing LED Lights

GlacialLight, a division of GlacialTech, has launched a series of LED grow light products — the GL-SP15, GL-SP27 and GL-BR8W. Each product uses 15W, 27W and 8W of power respectively, and can be used to supplement plant growth in hydroponic agriculture, Green-house lighting, Herb gardens, home gardens and any situation where plants don't get enough light in which to thrive.

Plants need a certain spectrum of light to enable them to do photosynthesis and grow correctly, and while natural light provides this, not every plant has the right dose for the right amount of time to ensure it grows optimally. GlacialLight LED grow lights provide the red and blues required for optimal growth in plants in their latest batch of lights, spotlights and globes. The LED lamps combine two wavelengths which are 8 parts red: 650-670nm and one part Blue: 450-460nm, or in some models; six parts Red and three parts Blue, depending on the requirements. And the light contains neither IR nor UV thus is safe and environmentally friendly for all types of plant growing conditions.

The BR8W has two LED models, GL-BR8W8R1B GL-BR8W6R3B, both of which have an excellent lifespan of in excess of 20,000hrs. The bulbs fit in standard E26/E27 light sockets and work between 100V-240V AC. The bulbs can be used for spotlighting, accent lighting and local lighting in greenhouses, horticultural concerns and hydroponic systems. The SP15 spotlight uses 15W of power and has a lifespan in excess of 20,000hrs. There is only one model (GL-SP15 8R1B) in this series with an 8:1 red/blue light ratio. The device input voltage is 100-240V AC and has a beam angle of 30 degrees.

The SP27 spotlight (model: GL-SP27 8R1B) is the brightest LED Grow spotlight in the GlacialLight series, using an 8:1 Red/blue ratio. There are in total 27 high brightness LED's used in the spotlight, and each is energy efficient. The entire unit is IP66 dust proof and water proof certified however care should be taken when used in extremely humid conditions.
