NeoPac Launches High Brightness, High CRI LEDs Light Module for Stage Spotlight Application

Base on NeoPac Universal Platform for solid state lighting, NeoPac built high brightness (4,400 lumen) , high CRI (~90) LEDs light module for stage spotlight application.

NeoPac Opto unveils the detail of newly developed LEDs light module for stage spotlight application. The LEDs light module is capable of producing 4,400 lumen light output from 7 pcs of NeoPac 14W light engines while driving at 530mA. Not only the color quality of this stage spot light is very high (CRI~90), the LED junction temperature is also well controlled at extremely low degree (Tj=60°C). NeoPac Opto solved the problems ultra-high-power LEDs manufactures generally facing - spectral shift, light decay and short useful life.

Compared to traditional stage spotlight, the LEDs light module developed by NeoPac for stage lighting application has these advantages – low power consumption (98W LEDs to replace 400W HIS), low heat radiation and super long useful life. Chen said, “Low power consumption means reduction of electricity cost and increased safety. Stage light with low heat radiation reduces the number of times actors applying make-up, which improve the efficiency of whole operation. It also prevents the damage to human skin due to expose in light with radiation. LED Lighting fixture with super long useful life is a better choice for professional stage and studio.”

At present, LED lighting industry offers smaller wattage stage light due to the limitation of the number of emitters can be placed in certain of area. With ultra-high-power, single-packaged, point-like-source NeoPac Light Engine, NeoPac Opto this time pushes the wattage of LED stage spotlight up to 98 W and retain super long useful life. “Through our excellent thermal management technology, we can place 98 W LEDs light sources in just φ240mm area. Moreover, our thermal management technology still controls the LEDs junction temperature at 60°C. The answer to achieve this is NeoPac Universal Platform(NUP), for which, NeoPac filed over 200 patents worldwide.”

The key to this thermal performance is NeoPac’s patented system-in-package (SIP) thermal management technology. “To solve the heat problem for ultra-high-power, single-package, point-light-source LEDs, the LEDs chips are mounted on a silicon submount. In turn, this submount is tightly attached onto a flat-ended heat pipe thermal dissipation module.” Chen said, “Compared to active cooling solution, our natural convection solution prevents the noise and useful life problems come from active cooling mechanism without any power consumption.”

Including the innovative LEDs light module for stage spotlight, NeoPac start to supply standard NeoPac Light Engines available at 500 Lm, 700 lm and 1,000 lm in 3rd quarter this year. A number of world leading lighting companies are start working to adopt NeoPac Universal Platform and NeoPac Light Engine to design and develop their sustainable LEDs lighting fixtures.
