Edison Opto, Unity Opto and Ledlink Revenues Reach New Heights in April

Taiwanese LED lighting manufacturers revenues reached new heights last month, with Unity Opto, Edison Opto and Ledlink heading the trend, reported UDN.

LED manufacturers revenue outlook in May is expected to be positive, as lighting demands surpass backlight.

Unity Opto’s consolidated revenue in April was up 8.03% to NT $936 million (US $30.44 million), compared to 17% in the same period last year. The LED lighting market peak season has moved ahead this year, it is estimated the LED industry revenue will begin positive growth in April, and achieve double digit growth in 2Q15, said the company’s spokesperson Jacky Wen.

Edison Opto’s revenue in April also set a new record after climbing up 3.99% Month-on-Month (MoM) to reach NT $408 million, or 52.31% annually. Edison Opto’s revenue growth was also spurred by lighting orders, the company has also entered the LED automotive lighting market. The company’s operations is likely to turn around in 2015. LED optic lens manufacturer Ledlink’s revenues in April also set a new monthly record after climbing up 9.36% to NT$ 133 million last month.
