Everlight Announced Its Sales Revenue of First Quarter

Recently, Everlight has announced its sales revenue of first quarter.

Its pretax profits is NT$538 million, or NT$1.28 per share, more than double the earnings of NT$262 million posted a quarter earlier.

Thanks to the decline in LED prices helping to boost downstream packagers’ gross profit rates generally, the gross profit rate improved to 25% from 20%. The firm expects a double-digit revenue growth, with the gross profit rate to keep trending upward to between 25% and 28%.

However, its sales revenue for the first quarter declined 4.28% from a quarter earlier to NT$3.378 billion.

Based on the steady growth in its business with LED lighting and backlight manufacturers, its president P.Y. Liu stressed, Everlight is likely to finish this year with an annual growth of 30% in sales revenue and a full-year gross profit rate of 26-29%.

According to Liu, his company`s production lines have been booked through the end of May, with a capacity utilization rate of 85% now; and orders for LED package mostly come from TV backlight customers.

It’s said that currently, the company has 11 customers of this kind including two in Japan, six in China, two in Taiwan and one in Korea, and will add two more clients to bring the total number to 13 this year.
