U-Tech to Supply LED Lighting for Philips

U-Tech Technology Corp., backed by shipbuilder Ching Fu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., has been contracted to support LED lighting equipment for Philips.

The company’s vice president A.D. Wu, they produce the lighting equipment by making most of Ching Fu’s and its strategic partner Hui Hwa Industrial Co., Ltd.’s metal and mold technologies as well as Philips’ electronics technology.

According to Wu, the products feature less than 3% in light degradation after 10,000 hours of non-stop operation, good thermal dissipation design and a 75% electricity conservation. Because of their outstanding advantages, the company’s contract products have been installed at U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (U.S. NASA) facilities and gas stations run by China Petrochemical Corp. of mainland China. Besides, the company has won major quality certificates, including CNS, CSA, UL, CE, PSE and EN.

In addition, the vice president pointed out that this year the company will equally stress sales in both overseas and local markets, a revision to past strategy of focusing on export sales. The enterprises and factories are the company’s primary potential customers. The company will double its annual output in the near future from current 5,000 lamps. As part of the expansion plan, the company will add production lines in Q3.
