Taiwan Delta Electronics was reported to target to significant growth in LED lighting shipments in 2011.

According to company spokesman Jesse Chou , Delta shipped nearly 1 million energy-conserving and -environment-friendly lighting units including street lights, light balls, lamps and units for commercial use in 2010, while this year’s shipments would surpass those figures.

Besides, Delta has also launched into branded business by starting to sell Delta-branded light products in the second half of last year.

Chou pointed out that the company plans to make forays into overseas markets after gaining a foothold at home.

To diversify, the company will invest more in own-brand consumer products that consist of LEDs, electronic readers and projectors.
