Wellmax and Samsung Electronics Forges Partnership and Signs MOU for LED Technology

On March 1, 2016, Samsung Electronics, the world’s second largest semiconductor supplier, signed a comprehensive strategic partnership MOU with Shanghai Wellmax Lighting Industry (WELLMAX) at Samsung Electronics’ Shanghai head office. The MOU identifies WELLMAX as one of Samsung Electronics’ first group of global ingredient brand partners. WELLMAX is the first and so far the only company that receives Samsung’s ingredient brand authorization in China.

As a world-class electronic company, Samsung Electronics owns the world’s largest number of semiconductor patent technology. The Senior Vice President of Samsung Electronics China, Tang, Guoqing, remarked: “As the leading brand of China lighting industry in the overseas market, WELLMAX has achieved great success in LED product development. WELLMAX emphasizes brand identity and brand value, which highly coincides with Samsung’s beliefs. We are very pleased to have WELLMAX as the first Chinese brand partner and we will firmly support WELLMAX in pursuing product R&D and building brand recognition on the global market. ”

In 2016, WELLMAX is poised to incorporate Samsung LED chips in all WELLMAX LED bulb products.
