LSG Files 71 New Patents in 2012

Lighting Science Group has been awarded 26 new U.S. patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for 2012.

It also reports another 20 patent applications that are expected to be issued in the next few months.

A total of 71 new U.S. patent applications were filed by Lighting Science in 2012, reflecting the robust innovative research and product development occurring at the company.

Lighting Science extensive patent applications and patent pending technologies are focused on lamps and luminaires designs, specialized power, optical and thermal management solutions, embedded intelligence including color mixing and power control algorithms.

In addition, R&D innovations include wireless networking of luminaires for sensing, automation and communication plus next generation adaptable lighting systems for biological, medical, agricultural and environmental applications.
