Leyard to Launch 0.8mm Small Pitch LED TV Displays in High-End Residential Market

Leyard’s 0.8mm small pitch TV already has the potential to move into the residential market and will be first promoted in the high-end market. The company claims to be the first company to utilize 0.8mm technology. “No other company has the technological capacity yet,” said Leyard.

Leyard’s responded confidently to investor inquiries to whether 0.8mm small pitch TV displays will is capable of entering the residential market, and if there are currently other Chinese or international competitors in the field. 

Leyard opened a channel for small pitch LED TV displays in the high-end smart home market by signing a strategic cooperation agreement with notable smart home company HDL on March 19, 2014. 

Leyard is referred to as a “large company in a small industry” by investors as the company’s small pitch LED TV display revenue has blown all other competitors out of the water. The company’s 1Q14 revenue reached RMB 142 million (US $22.8 million), growth of 28.43 percent YoY. Small pitch TV products continue to make up a large portion of the company’s revenue. Leyard small pitch TV has a total of 54 recognized revenue that covers an area of around 997 square meters. Its revenue was up 67.67 percent YoY to RMB 56.64 million. Small pitch TV revenue share increased 9.52 percent from last year to 40.35 percent. Profit margin increased 2.49 percent YoY to 37.38 percent. 

Small pitch TV display orders in 1Q14 reached RMB 111 million during the conventional slack season, up 228.44 percent YoY. Small pitch TV display orders made up 60.23 percent of all 1Q14 orders, a growth of 41.49 percent compared to 18.74 percent the year before. Military orders have substantially increased since March, and expected to continue growth in 2014. 

Leyard successfully completed R&D for their naked-eye 3D TV at the end of 2013. The product that is already being applied was released in China and global markets during February and April 2014.
