Dominant Semiconductors recently added new high intensity white (DSW-NSG) and warm white (DSF-NSG) which feature longer life and higher light intensity to its Right Angle DomiLED series, replacing the existing DSW-USD device.

With a low operating current of 20mA, the luminous intensities of the new white and warm white are respectively up to 1200mcd (typical) and 1000mcd (typical). And the long life span due to the silicone encapsulation and low thermal resistance of the housing has made the new white Right Angle DomiLEDs the most durable product in a side view package.

Fulfilling the stringent requirements of the automotive industry, the new Right Angle DomiLED are also suitable for a wide range of  sideway illumination applications where space is limited, such as backlighting of cellular phone displays and keypads, backlighting LCDs for PDAs, digital camera, signal and channel lighting.

The mass-production of the white color and the warm white version will separately begin by mid of April 2009 and mid of May 2009.
