SWITCH Lighting Announces Production of Full Line of LED A-Lamps

SWITCH Lighting™ Shows Off Full Family of Liquid-Cooled LED Lamps, New Technology at LIGHTFAIR

SWITCH Lighting™, the first company to offer a true LED replacement to the incandescent with no compromises, is announcing the availability of its highly-anticipated family of LED A-lamps. They are the only liquid-cooled LED A-lamps that can be used in any fixture, any orientation, and anywhere – indoors and out. After first introducing their innovative technology last year, SWITCH’s LED lamps are now in production and will be on display at LIGHTFAIR.

In addition to their 40, 60, 75, and 100 watt-equivalent lamps, SWITCH will be unveiling the never-before-seen SWITCH3-Way, a 25/50/75 watt-equivalent LED incandescent replacement A-Lamp for use in three way fixtures. SWITCH is also introducing technology for a 220/240V driver to expand their full family of LED A-Lamps beyond U.S. borders to the international market. The 220/240V driver lamps are expected to be released in late 2012.

“We’re excited to be back at LIGHTFAIR this year showing our family of LED lamps,” said SWITCH CEO, Tracy Bilbrough. “It’s been exactly a year since we gave the industry its first look at our unique technology which creates a true, no compromise replacement to the incandescent A-lamp. We’re returning this year to announce that production of our lamps is underway.”

In addition to the 40, 60, and 75 watt-equivalent lamps in warm white 2700K, the SWITCH100 will also be on display after its launch for commercial channels was announced during the National Facilities Management and Technology Conference in March 2012. The SWITCH100 is the first true 100 watt-equivalent A-lamp with a 1600 lumen output and radial flux equal to any incandescent available to the market. With a color temperature of 4000K, it is ideally suited for functional areas which require bright, white light.

The first SWITCH lamps were shipped to several hotel beta-sites in the U.S. last November, and are receiving positive feedback. SWITCH’s 40, 60, 75, and 100 watt-equivalent lamps will be available in the U.S. through commercial channels and limited commercial retail distribution this summer. SWITCH will be announcing the locations of commercial distributors within two months. These initial lamps will likely be priced between $40-60 from distribution, depending on the model.

SWITCH’s LED lamps will be on display at booth #4748 at LIGHTFAIR in Las Vegas from May 9-11.

SWITCH will also be an exhibitor at HD Expo in Las Vegas the following week in booth #6552. SWITCH is a recent winner of a Silver Edison Award in the “Smart System” category of Energy and Sustainability.
