WestPark Capital uses a WRASP transaction to help China Intelligent Lighting and Electronics

WestPark Capital, Inc.,finished a WRASP transaction resulted in raising a total of $13.6 million for Chinese LED lighting manufacturer, known as China Intelligent Lighting and Electronics. A WRASP is an alternative capital markets transaction process where a private company goes public through a reverse merger, with its common stock trading directly on the NYSE Amex or another senior exchange. China Intelligent Lighting and Electronics gained a listing on the NYSE Amex.

China's Sanan OptoElectronics increases HB-LED epiwafer capacity with AIXTRON MOCVD tools

AIXTRON AG today announced a multiple tool order from Sanan OptoElectronics Co. Ltd., headquartered in Xiamen, China. The Sanan order for multiple CRIUS® 31x2 inch tools was placed at the end of 2009. The local AIXTRON support team has successfully commissioned the new HB GaN LED growth reactors at Sanan’s new purpose-built facility in Tianjin in the first two quarters of 2010.

Tyco Electronics launched a new Type CM solderless LED socket. It’s available for integration of the Cree XLamp MP-L multichip LED into light fixtures. The socket provides a termination for six 0.60mm2 connection pads,mounted on the top of the LED. To comply with wire or board applications, it is offered in two versions, the wire termination version and the board termination version. Each is offered with or without attachment features for optics.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) will in partnership with Stion Corp. of the United States to set up a factory in the Central Taiwan Science Park to produce CuInGaSe2-based (CIGS-based) thin-film solar cells. Bright LED made a deal with a Beijing-headquartered state-run corporation for LED billboards measuring 1,400 square meters. It’s estimated RMB17 million. According to the company’s chairman, J.R. Bridgelux increased its neutral white LEDs to 3,400 lm

Bridgelux released neutral white versions of ES and RS LEDs, with a colour temperature of 4,100K. ES devices offer 400, 800 and 1,200 lm, while RS device delivers add up to 3,400 lm, expanding the existing 3,100 lm warm white and 4,500 lm cool white RS range. ES and RS LEDs are square: respectively 25 and 50mm across. There is also a 'star' version of ES.RS devices operate at 2.1A with a forward voltage of 26V.
