Network Powered Ethernet LED Display Saves 75% in Energy Costs

Recently named "PoE-Powered Device of the Month" by industry experts, Inova Solutions' OnAlertTM appliance supports mass notifications that save lives and reduce risks during natural disasters and other emergency situations.

The first company to provide this capability, Inova Solutions reports the technology is greener and more economical because it doesn't require installation of AC outlets, instead using existing Ethernet LAN and the same network components as IP phones.  It also satisfies fire and emergency codes and standards, including UFC and NFPA.

"The advanced engineering of OnAlert PoE appliances is easier, less expensive, and meets the needs of security and network administrators, as well as facility and risk planning specialists," said Inova Solutions CEO Tom Hubbard. "For businesses struggling with high energy costs, the savings are significant. These displays provide an average energy cost savings up to 75% versus others in the industry."

Released in November by Inova Solutions, the OnAlert PoE display combines the mass notification capability of a display with the accurate synchronized time of a digital clock. The result is a powerful tool that allows schools, hospitals and manufacturing facilities to instantly send messages to wide, dispersed audiences. OnAlert is used for crisis communications, notification of changing conditions, deadline reminders and more. When no emergency message is needed, the displays default to a bright, accurate display of time and date synchronized to a standard internet/intranet based time source, which is very important to organizations operating in time-sensitive environments.
