Mr. Zhou Xuejun has more than 15 years of marketing experience, including nearly 5 years of marketing management at Philips Lighting (China) Co., Ltd. As the marketing director (Asia) of Philips Lumileds, he is now responsible for the promotion and business development of LUXEON LEDs in Asia. Prior to joining Philips Lumileds, Mr.Zhou took many positions in Philips lighting (China) Co., Ltd, such as senior consumer product marketing manager, conventional distribution channel manager, product manager and 6 sigma black belt. He also processes rich marketing management experience from previous positions at Sony, Whirlpool, and other Fortune 500 firms. Mr. Zhou has an extensive practice and a deep study in product & brand management, distribution channel establishment, marketing process improvement, etc.


In LEDforum 2011, Mr. Zhou will deliver the speech LED Chip Development Trend.

Dr. Li-Chang Yang received his doctor degree of material science at University of Illinois. He founded Macroblock, Inc. in 1999 and was awarded the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award last year.


Macroblock positions itself as a mixed-signal IC design company, which has developed the world’ s first 16-bit PWM embedded LED driver with patented S-PWM technology. Macroblock’s products have wide applications in LED displays, LED lighting and LED backlights while Macroblock ranks as top 10 suppliers among the global LED driver providers.

Dr. Yang will discuss about the status quo, characteristics and future development of LED Landscape Lighting for the Outdoor Application

KC Cheng is the Marketing Director for Asia Pacific region in OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. He is responsible for all marketing, application engineering and customer feedbacks on quality in the region.


Cheng has over 10 years’ solid LED experiences in marketing, business development and application engineering; and also in several management positions in the optoelectronics and semiconductor industries. Prior to joining OSRAM, he served as Worldwide Marketing Director of Optoelectronics Product Division / Solid State Illumination Division in Avago Technologies/Agilent Technologies.

Cheng earned his bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas. KC Cheng’s topic in LEDforum 2011 will be Development Evolution and Future Trend of Solid State Lighting.

Dr. Jia Lee is currently the Director of Marketing for Veeco’s MOCVD business, serving the HB LED industry. Prior to joining Veeco, Jia held a variety of senior product marketing positions at Applied Materials, a leading global nanomanufacturing equipment provider to the semiconductor and related industries. Before that he was an Advisory Engineer at IBM Microelectronics, where he worked on low-k dielectric material development and integration technologies. Dr. Lee earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and his M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley. He holds a number of patents related to thin film chemical vapor deposition


In LED forum 2011, Dr. Lee will deliver the speech entitled Reducing LED Manufacturing Costs through Advancements in MOCVD Technology

In addition, management from world-renowned LED manufacturers such as Seoul Semiconductor and Shanghai Epilight as well as senior analysts from LEDinside will also attend LEDforum 2011 to present LED market development and latest research reports.
