Presented at the Sapphire Awards Gala held in conjunction with Strategies in Light, Litecontrol’s Liteweave beat out three finalists to win the “Indoor SSL Luminaire Design” category, which LEDs Magazine described as “the most contentious category in the Sapphire Awards.” One particular judge explained, “I appreciate the use of a flexible circuit board, high-efficacy optic (who says utility fixtures have to be opal white?), and the use of large quantities of mid-power packages to keep efficacy high and lifetime very high.” For more information on Litecontrol’s Liteweave, click here.

Displaying Hubbell Lighting’s breadth of solutions for limitless lighting applications, Kim Lighting’s LightVault® 8 took home the Sapphire Award in the “Outdoor SSL Luminaire Design” category. The panel was impressed by the LED floodlight’s Bluetooth® connectivity with one judge lauding the product’s “robust construction and connectivity.” Keeping the LED light engine completely sealed from the ingress of water, dust, mud and debris, users can wirelessly enable field aiming and dimming from an iPhone, Android phone or tablet.
