Acuity Brands LED Luminaires Win Prestigious Lighting for Tomorrow Award

Three decorative LED luminaires from Acuity Brands were selected to receive a 2016 Lighting for Tomorrow (LFT) award. The annual competition was created in 2002 to recognize the best decorative, energy-efficient luminaires in the market, and is organized by the American Lighting Association, the Consortium for Energy Efficiency and Underwriters Laboratories.

Acuity Brands decorative luminaires receiving an LFT award this year include:

  • 4" Sloped Ceiling LED Downlights by Juno®: a patent-pending family of downlights that provide versatile, high-output lighting from inconspicuous 4” ceiling fixtures and are the first dedicated, small aperture LED downlights for sloped ceiling installations. With exclusive slope ceiling trim designs, the Juno LED downlights offer dedicated 4" trims to cover standard slope (9-24°) or super slope (20-35°) installations. The aperture also accommodates 2” media, including lenses, films and filters, for customized lighting control. These downlights can deliver over 1000 lumens with only 16-watts of power.

  • SGLL Linear Garage Light by Lithonia Lighting®: a 2' LED garage light that delivers bright, high-quality illumination and hands-free convenience. With an integrated PIR motion sensor, the garage light will automatically turn on when motion, such as opening the garage door or walking in, is detected. The LED garage light enhances safety and security while reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs. Multiple fixtures can be linked together with end-to end connector.

  • LED Vanity Collection by Lithonia Lighting: elegant and contemporary lighting designs to complement a bathroom or powder room décor with the energy efficiency and cost savings of LED technology. Available in 1’, 2’, 3’ and 4’ lengths and a lumen output range of 650 to 2,500 lumens. A standard 90CRI MVOLT LED light engine provides consistent color in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K color temperatures.
