LG Innotek Displays Full Range of LED Lighting Solutions in Frankfurt

LG Innotek, a leading global electronics components manufacturer, will showcase more than 100 LED products at the Light + Building 2014 trade show in Frankfurt, Germany from March 30 to April 4, 2014.

The company displayed a full range of innovative and total LED lighting solutions. They include mid-power and high-power LED packages, modules & engines, power supply units and UV LEDs. LG Innotek’s LED portfolio is optimized for applications in homes, offices and the industrial and commercial sectors, highlighting its strong capabilities to satisfy the various needs of lighting product manufacturers and their customers.

The company has one of the largest mid-power LED package line-ups in the industry, as well as the highest-performing high-power and super high-power LED packages using proprietary vertical LED chip technology.  LG Innotek’s vertical chip technology optimizes the light emitting surface with a more thermally efficient structure. The product portfolio has also been expanded to include one of the broadest ranges of high voltage LED packages. LG Innotek has achieved its extensive LED package line-up based on its leading technology expertise as shown in being the world’s first 6-inch EPI wafer-based LED mass-production manufacturer.

LG Innotek unveiled a brand new high-power LED package, 'H35C series', which maximizes light efficacy while producing high color reproducibility close to natural light. New mid-power LED packages, ‘5152’ and ‘5630’, which maximize light efficiency up to 190 lumens/watt and beyond was also showcased.

LG Innotek also launched a new LED platform this year which will provide solutions to the three major challenges facing the current LED lighting industry—cost, efficacy and quality of light.  Features of the new platform will include technology that integrates the lenses directly onto the LED, thus reducing the number of LED units and saving cost, as well as the use of advanced phosphor material technology which virtually eliminates the trade-off between high color rendering index (CRI) and flux losses.  This remarkable achievement reduces the typical 20 to 25 percent flux losses for CRI’s above 90, to less than 5 percent, thus creating an exceptional value for LED lighting customers seeking to accelerate adoption in the market.

The LG Innotek exhibition booth at Light + Building will include a hands-on section where visitors can test the wireless light control systems for buildings, which highlights the capability of the company to provide differentiated intelligent LED lighting systems.

The entire packaged product portfolio of LG Innotek has gained industry standard LM 80 certification, and it has adopted the Zhaga industry standards for LED light module products to ensure customer value and satisfaction.

LG Innotek benefits from strong synergies since it has the capability to develop and produce all the core parts of an LED lighting solution, from LED chips to modules, while possessing driver solutions for lighting and wireless lighting control systems. This means that LG Innotek can shorten the product development cycle for customers and provide a total solution that guarantees product performance and reliability for customer’s individual needs.
