LED filament bulb has been demonstrating great market potential worldwide in recent years. In 2017, the market size of LED filament bulb is projected to surpass 300 million bulbs, with a 100% YoY growth. By 2018, its market size will soar to 600 million, estimated by Epistar.

One of the crucial LED filament patents involves the technique of adhering several LED chips onto a transparent substrate. Epistar is one of the earliest to develop and acquire the original patents of this key technology in U.S., Europe, China, and Taiwan, solidifying its dominant position in the LED filament sector.
