Multi Function Luma LED Lamp Lets Users Take Charge of their Environments

PhoneSoap has unveiled its new Luma SmartLamp.  A campaign to fund the roll-out of initial production has been launched on the social media funding platform Kickstarter.

In addition to providing energy efficient illumination, Luma SmartLamp also lets users to take charge of their environments by allowing them to simultaneously amplify music or conversations from their smart phones, program alarms, select lighting colors and brightness, and charge their phones all from one device. The lamp is controlled from a free app designed for use on all iPhones and Android smart phones.

Released in both 10" and 18.5" tower models, Luma SmartLamp epitomizes 21st century industrial chic. The fire-resistant polymer column evokes the undulating designs of modernist artist, Isamu Noguchi, and sits on a polished wood base that features a built-in USB port and a touch on/off switch.  The energy efficient LED bulb uses 20 times less energy than traditional bulbs and will last 40,000 hours—the equivalent of 20 years. The lamp emits 800 lumens of light that can easily be changed to any of 16 million colors. A dimmer function is also included.

Luma SmartLamp's acoustic speakers provide rich sound and can amplify music from a smart phone connected via Bluetooth.  The speakers can be linked to more than one Luma SmartLamp to fill multiple rooms with sound.  Clear crisp phone conversations can also be amplified with the built-in speakerphone/microphone.

Luma SmartLamp's multiple functions reduce tabletop clutter and makes smart phone use much easier from bed. The built-in USB port provides convenient charging, and the Sleep/Snooze Alarm can be set to provide gentle waking music. The smart lamp can also be set to send notifications of incoming calls or alarms.
