ANC Sports Debuts First Ever Tennis Courtside LED Signage

ANC Partners with StarGames to Present Courtside LED Signage During 2011 BNP Paribas Showdown

ANC Sports Enterprises announced the BNP Paribas Showdown on February 28th at 7:00pm will become the first ever professional tennis event in the United States to feature light emitting diode (LED) signage around the court perimeter.

Tennis fans at Madison Square Garden and watching on ESPN2 and ESPN3 will see four all-time great players compete in front of special effects, dynamic sponsor acknowledgements, and event information that spread seamlessly across 324 feet of state-of-the-art signage.

Produced by StarGames and MSG Sports, the BNP Paribas Showdown will feature John McEnroe and Ivan Lendl competing in a one set pro match, followed by a best of three set match between Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi. Both matches will be surrounded by six sections of LED signage, each measuring 54 feet which are capable of displaying full motion animations during stoppages and real-time information during match play.

“ANC’s signage provides enormous benefits and elevates the presentation of the whole event,” said Jerry Solomon, President and CEO of StarGames. “After collaborating with ANC at our recent Caesar Tribute skating show, there was no question that we wanted to include this technology in our tennis events.  The flexibility and features within the ANC system allow us to be on the cutting edge which is a great addition for our sponsors and fans.”

Partnering with StarGames and MSG Sports, ANC Sports’ staff will be onsite to install, operate and create dynamic content for the event. Driven by ANC Sports’ patent-pending VisionSOFT? operating system, the courtside signage system presents corporate partners with unlimited creative opportunities such as specific moments of exclusivity. In addition, the signage is capable of synchronizing to feature one dynamic full motion visual or separating into individual images throughout the event.

“We are extremely excited to partner with the BNP Paribas Showdown to introduce our event-side LED signage capabilities to tennis,” said Jerry Cifarelli, President and CEO of ANC Sports. “ANC’s state-of-the-art technologies provide sponsors with the unique ability to reach television viewers with real-time messaging based on actual moments throughout a match which can help grow initiatives such as Tennis Night in America.”

The BNP Paribas Showdown is the headline event of the USTA’s Tennis Night in America celebration of tennis, which is the start of the sport's largest tennis youth recruitment effort. In addition to the BNP Paribas Showdown, ANC Sports’ event-side signage has been utilized to enhance events such as The Caesars Tribute, NBA Draft, ESPN X Games, Dew Tour, United Football League, Major League Soccer, among many others.
