The SnapRays Guidelight is an outlet cover with built-in LEDs that act as a nightlight. With the LED bulbs installed at the bottom of the outlet cover, outlets are left free for other plugs.

The outlet cover has no extra wiring or batteries making installation effortless. A built-in sensor allows the guidelight to activate only when the room is darkened to conserve power. Only using 5 mA of power, the guidelight is estimated to only cost less than US $.10 a year and has a life span of 25 years.

"The SnapRays Guide-Light is designed to be installed over the standard electrical outlet. As the user installs the Guide-Light, the patented "Power Extractors" on the back side of the plate slide into the electrical box and around the outlet receptacle making contact with the sides of the outlet. This proprietary technology is what enable the device to extract power from the receptacle without having to hardwire, plug into or occupy an outlet." – SnapPower
