The company has recently begun to deliver 19" network server racks with digitally controlled cooling systems integrated directly into the top covers and sides of the enclosure.  These systems can be managed individually or in groups, and they feature active sensors and digital temperature target controls to maintain ideal system cooling.

Additionally, the company is now offering new LED lighting solutions associated with its Knurr enclosures.  LED lighting can now be integrated strategically into the rear of Knurr enclosures to provide improved visibility for system administrators working in the rear of the enclosure.  The lighting can be automatically activated when the system is accessed from the rear.

Extron's Vice President of Business Development, Randy Duke, commented, "This enhancement to Knurr's award-winning line of enclosures is an example of the types of custom engineering work Knurr can offer its OEM and end-user clients.  We're very excited to offer this option to our customers."

Sandeep Duggal, Extron's CEO, added, "Knurr's world-class lineup of 19" racks and custom electronics enclosures is the platform of choice for OEM's and end-users who are building and deploying the next generation of electronics.  To complement that, our product engineering capabilities can yield innovative solutions like these, resulting in enclosures that are the perfect environment for their mission-critical electronics."

The new cooling and lighting solutions are available across Knurr's wide range of enclosure solutions for the network computing, telecom, medical, scientific and technical, automotive, defense, aerospace, and manufacturing industries.
