WeMo® Showcases Expanded LED Smart Lighting Options at the 2015 International CES

Continuing to grow its award-winning Internet of Things ecosystem, WeMo® will showcase an expanded line-up of WeMo-enabled LED smart lighting solutions at the 2015 International CES.

Featuring a wide variety of bulbs and lighting products from two major lighting collaborators, OSRAM SYLVANIA and Technical Consumer Products, Inc. (TCP), the new WeMo-enabled bulbs provide consumers with robust, whole home smart lighting solutions for both indoors and out. The new WeMo-enabled lighting products will be on display during CES at the Belkin International booth, number 30551 in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“With the introduction of new WeMo-enabled bulbs from trusted lighting partners, we’ve created one of the most robust whole home lighting systems on the market and given consumers an abundance of choice in terms of form factor, style, and color options,” said Ohad Zeira, director of product management for WeMo.

“By expanding WeMo-enabled lighting to additional brands, WeMo now gives people the ability to automate entire rooms and scenes through one simple, intuitive app, which is an attractive option for those that may be waiting to jump into the world of smart lighting,” he said.

Already a major player in the Internet of Things, WeMo’s new lighting collaborations are designed to provide customers with a wide variety of smart lighting choices, from standard indoor bulbs to decorative lighting and outdoor spotlights. All of the new WeMo-enabled lighting options will work with the WeMo Link and WeMo app, allowing users to control them from anywhere with a smart device.

Many of the new WeMo-enabled bulbs provide the ability to change not only colors, but color temperature, which can dramatically change the mood or feeling of a room. Through the WeMo app, users can also schedule lights to come on or off at a certain time or at sunrise or sunset, control bulbs individually or in groups, control brightness, or set a sleep fader to gradually fade to dark.
