The demand for LED lighting in India market would increase by about 40% annually at least for the next five years, global chief executive officer of NTL Lemnis Arun Gupta said yesterday. Cree has received a matching $2.3 million U.S. Department of Energy grant to advance its research and development of light-emitting diode, or LED, lighting products.
