Telensa Starts Installation of Smart LED Streetlight Control System Across Gloucestershire

Telensa, which provides end-to-end smart city solutions using its low power Ultra Narrow Band (UNB) wireless technology, has announced that work has begun on a major new deployment which will cover 55,000 LED streetlights over approximately 1,000 sq. miles across Gloucestershire, UK. The deployment, part of Gloucestershire County Council’s plan to replace existing sodium lights, is being led by Skanska, with LED luminaires from Urbis Schréder.  The new streetlights are wirelessly connected and controlled using Telensa’s PLANet Central Management System.

Everlight Employs Billion Smart LED Streetlight Power Control System in Large Taiwan Retrofit Project

Everlight, one of the global leading manufacturers of LED lighting components, joined the Taiwanese municipality’s tender as both system integrator and LED light bulb supplier. With a goal of replacing 8,000 mercury vapor street lights with LED, Everlight deployed Billion’s Narrowed-Band Power Line (NPLC) Control and Management System to overcome the difficulties of inconvenient installation and elongated construction.
