Tri-State LED Selected for LED Retrofit of Connecticut-Based Interstate + Lakeland Lumber Stores

Tri-State LED, a division of Revolution Lighting Technologies, announced that it has been selected for a series of LED lighting retrofits with Interstate + Lakeland Lumber, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of building materials. The retrofit is currently taking place throughout the company's Connecticut locations in Bethel, Newtown, Stamford and Greenwich and involves the complete retrofit of existing fluorescent lighting to reduce overall lighting energy use throughout the facilities by more than 60%.

Hempstead Town to Save US $43M with LED Streetlights Replacement

As crews installed the 30,000th energy efficient L.E.D. (light emitting diode) streetlight fixture of a planned 50,000 units in Hempstead Town, Supervisor Anthony J. Santino detailed energy cost savings associated with the major project.  At the same time, Santino “illuminated” residents on the expansion of planet friendly/cost saving the initiative to include the conversion of 17,000 interior light fixtures at town facilities.  Joining the Supervisor at a press briefing on Hamilton Avenue in Island Park was Councilman Anthony D’Esposito, along with Ricky Tripodo of Facility Solutions Group (FSG), a private sector partner that is converting streetlight elements in tandem with town work crews.

Revolution Lighting Technologies Completes LED Lighting Retrofit in Lehman College Campus

Revolution Lighting Technologies, a leader in advanced LED lighting technology solutions, today announced the completion of an LED retrofit project with Lehman College, the Bronx-based senior college of the City University of New York. The work, facilitated by Revolution Lighting Technologies operating division Tri-State LED, involved the installation of Revolution Lighting Technologies T8 LED tubes to increase energy efficiency and decrease utilities costs across campus. Santander Rolls out 90,000 LED Lighting Retrofit Project

 A GBP17.5 million (US $25.75 million) investment by UK Green Investment Bank and Sustainable Development Capital Limited is UK’s largest ever fully-funded LED lighting retrofit project. About 90,000 new lights to be installed across Santander’s entire UK estate of 800 branches and 14 office buildings. The project will generate energy savings of more than 50% and cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than 7,000 tonnes annually.

San Francisco Int’l Airport Transforms Terminal with MaxLite Lighting Fixtures

The facility managers of Terminal One at San Francisco International Airport in California wanted to give the high-volume concourse a modern and forward-thinking look. The terminal, which serves AirTran, Alaska Airlines, Delta, Frontier, Southwest and US Airways, had illumination issues caused by aging four-tube linear fluorescent troffers. The check-in stations were not properly lit and had poor illumination on work surfaces where agents process paperwork. The overall terminal looked dim and muted.

California Community College District Gives LEDs the Green Light

The Board of Directors of Rancho Santiago Community College District unanimously approved the use of Redbird LED for their interior LED lighting retrofit project with the use of Prop 39 funding.  The conversion to LED lighting will save the district over US $2 million throughout the life of the product.  In addition, Southern California Edison (SCE) will provide the district over US $300,000 in rebates. The project was completed on August 1, 2014.
