Asian Development Bank Invests US $200M in LED Light Upgrade in India

A new $200 million Asian Development Bank (ADB) loan will finance installation of millions of energy-efficient lights in streets and homes and energy-efficient water pumps in farms across India, leading to energy savings of around 3,800 gigawatt-hours per year, equivalent to the annual output of two 300-megawatt coal-fired power stations.

Seoul Semiconductor, has announced the new MJT 4040 package which uses Multi Junction Technology to bring performance and size advantages to the LED outdoor and streetlight markets. iPad be Used to Control Streetlights in London Borough

iPad is used to control streetlights in London borough. After a successful pilot scheme, the London borough has created a ‘Smart Lights system’ deploying Philips CosmoPolis Outdoor Lighting products in conjunction with a Harvard LeafNut CMS system. The council will also install GE Ceramic Metal Halide StreetWise lamps.
