Cree, Inc. announced that Chairman, President and CEO Chuck Swoboda will step down from his executive positions and as a member of the Board of Directors following a transition period.  Mr. Swoboda intends to stay on until a successor is appointed, and thereafter will remain available as a consultant to the Company to ensure a seamless transition of leadership responsibilities.

Andreas Weisl (38), former Vice President Europe of Korean LED manufacturer Seoul Semiconductor (SSC), has taken on the position of CEO at Seoul Semiconductor Europe GmbH based Munich, Germany, with effect from Nov. 11, 2016.

Littelfuse  announced that Gordon Hunter, Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman, effective Jan. 1, 2017. Dave Heinzmann, Chief Operating Officer, will assume the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at that time and will join the company’s board of directors, bringing the size of the board to eight members.

The Supervisory Board of SUSS MicroTec AG has appointed Dr. Franz Richter (61) as a new member of the management board of SUSS MicroTec AG. His contract will run for a period of three years. GT Advanced Technologies,announced that Tom Gutierrez is retiring from the company and has resigned as Chief Executive Officer and as a director. Royal Philips  announced the appointment of Andy Ho as Chief Executive Officer for Greater China per November 2, 2015, succeeding Patrick Kung, who will retire on December 31, 2015. To ensure a seamless transition, Mr. Ho will join Philips on August 3, 2015, as Executive Vice President, Royal Philips, reporting to Philips CEO Frans van Houten. Mr. Ho joins Philips from IBM Corp., where he has held a wide range of sales, technology and senior management roles across Greater China, Canada and the United States in a career spanning over 30 years. Leading U.S. LED luminaire manufacturer TCP International’s (TCP) stock ratings have taken a blow following a complaint filed against the company and CEO by its general counsel Laura Hauser.

Latest developments in the aftermath of NVC Lighting’s merge with Elec-Tech Technology (ETI) has gotten fairly messy, according to several Chinese media reports.

The board of directors of the Company (the “Board”) announces that it has resolved to remove Mr Wu Changjiang (吳長江) from the office of chief executive officer of the Company, and to appoint Mr Wang Donglei (王冬雷) as the interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company.
