Lemnis Lighting has made a price war with two new LED bulbs priced at $4.95 and $6.95 for general lighting, expecting to get more consumers to adopt the switch. Despite of the low price, the bulbs do have some limitations when compared to their less energy efficient counterparts. Royal Philips Electronics has posted a fourth-quarter loss due to a worse performance by its lighting, health care arms, as well as television business.
