LED and Smart Lighting System

With the improvement of material and spiritual life, people nowadays have more demands to lighting. It is no longer just about lighting. Besides energy-saving, more and more people are using lights to create a harmonious, homey and comfortable environment.

Issues in using LED as intelligent lighting system:

A. LED lighting is a new application of semiconductor electronic technology. Semiconductor and lighting industry need to cooperate and advance together.
B. LED lighting is an emerging industry. With inferior technology and lack of core competitiveness, some companies are lag behind the international market. In the price war, the market overlooks product R&D and limits the development of the whole industry.
C. Spiraling competition is a common issue in LED industry. To pursue low costs, brightness and stability are sacrificed and it affects the development of the industry.
D. Many LED manufacturers haven’t developed their own brands. As the industry and competition grow, this market is not far from restructuring.
E. LED digital lighting and lamps should be organic combinations. Only when it occurs, can it become a model to create a hands-on experience in a warm, elegant, or varied environment brought by LED smart lighting.


Semiconductor lighting has established brand new experience through special lighting, cosmopolitan night scenes, indoor decoration lighting and display engineering. Regarding color presentation, lighting control, environmental protection, and energy-saving, it has clear advantages over traditional neon lights, incandescent lights, tungsten-halogen lights, and fluorescent lights.

However, LED needs to cut the price and finds breakthroughs in high-end digital intelligent products to penetrate the general market and enhance application levels. In this process, LED lighting will gradually replace traditional lighting in high-end application areas. It would be meaningful to semiconductor lighting engineering industry. New digital lighting, combining of LED lighting and smart lighting, will be revolutionary to lighting and culture of our world.
