Miami Heat Lights up Xfinity East Plaza with LED Displays

In this NanoLumens blog entry, Arch Nelson, the company’s Regional Sales Director for Southeast of U.S., shares why the NBA team Miami Heat has chosen it's LED displays to be installed in the American Airlines Arena in Florida, U.S..

Under the Miami sun while overlooking the Biscayne Bay, and yet the American Airlines Arena simply had unused outdoor “dead” space when it came to engaging with HEAT fans.  What has been recently launched as the Xfinity East Plaza, started off as a vacant area that fans used to step outside during games and events but has since been turned into “Miami’s sexiest entertainment venue.”

With a new partial enclosure, stage and bar as well as the help of six NanoLumens Outdoor Gallery Series digital signage, the arena is poised for a new kind of fan engagement with HEAT fans and concert-goers alike. Our client says it best: “The Miami HEAT have always been a technology-driven franchise committed to delivering a superior entertainment experience at both HEAT games and Arena events,” said Eric Woolworth, President of The HEAT Group Business Operations. “Our latest endeavor of pairing technology with fan experience comes with the unveiling of our Xfinity East Plaza, where the incredibly impressive NanoLumens digital displays are helping us to deliver digital content to a previously underutilized outdoor space—a prospect we believe HEAT fans and Arena guests will enjoy as much as we do.”

Our seamless, non-faceted, patented, curved displays deliver spectacularly clear imagery into the Plaza, creating a truly eye-catching environment; and with a wind rating of up to 186 miles per hour, these displays are meant to withstand the test of time and elements.

And the icing to this “playoff-ready” cake, our NanoLumens solutions have been made available to the HEAT Group through the NanoLumens Advantage program, designed to help businesses gain a competitive sales advantage with the latest technology, protect against obsolescence, and simplify asset management, all while streamlining the many benefits into a one-stop solution.
