Intematix Accelerates European LED Lighting Solutions Access with Addition of Rutronik

Intematix Corp., a leading innovator in phosphors, LED components and solid state lighting modules announced today that it has completed a pan-European franchise agreement with Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH. The agreement provides Rutronik distribution rights to Intematix' entire product portfolio of chip-on-ceramic power LEDs, arrays and modules. Rutronik will also have access to Intematix full-solution line of control systems, secondary optics and heat management technologies.

"Along with its extensive component-level background in core optoelectronic technologies, Rutronik has valuable hands-on experience in LED lighting applications," commented Jeff Lagaly, Vice President of Sales, LED Lighting for Intematix. "Their ability to provide system-level design support added to Intematix turnkey solid state lighting solutions portfolio, will shorten design cycles and open up additional market opportunities to the European customer base."

Intematix' high quality multichip-on-ceramic LEDs operate across a wide range of input voltages and are characterized by excellent color consistency, good heat management and high luminous efficiency combined with its well-recognized patent-backed phosphor technologies. White and other color-specific solutions with CRI control from 60 to 95 and color tunable packages are available, and may include customization options.  With Intematix' LED solutions, Rutronik will target the breadth of LED-based and solid state lighting applications, including interior and exterior facility lighting, architectural lighting, spotlights, airfield and marine lighting as well as design and advertising applications. Rutronik will also continue to pursue its in-house development and marketing of LED street lighting in co-operation with Intematix.

According to Marcus Oechsle, Area Manager of Optoelectronics at Rutronik, "We are entirely convinced of the advantages and quality of Intematix components, and are excited about the new market opportunities it represents. Europe is very focused on 'green' technologies, and most companies in the lighting sector are looking for ways to quickly design high quality LED fixtures for use in commercial buildings and public facilities.  It is our goal to establish the Intematix brand in all the key sectors of Europe's solid state lighting industry."
