Recently, it has been learned from Jiaxing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that the total exports of LED lighting products in Jiaxing in the first five months is more than 2000 batches, and the value is about US $ 90 million, growth of 40% and 70% have been achieved in batch and value over the same period of last year.

According to statistics, there are 70 LED enterprises in Jiaxing City; the total output value in 2012 is 2 billion Yuan. With the energy depleting in the world and the constant extending of new energy-saving products market, the prospect of LED products export is promising. Jiaxing is one of the main producing areas of LED lighting products, and its growth momentum of export volume is strong. In 2011, the total export of LED products was more than 3,000 batches, the value was approximately US $ 100 million; in 2012, the total export was more than 4000 batches, the value is approximately US $ 150 million. In 2012, LED lighting products exports in Jiaxing accounted for one-fifth of the total amount in the whole province.

Relevant responsible person from Jiaxing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau said that the exporting of LED lighting products in Jiaxing has several distinct characteristics. The first is that most of the exported products are light source, all kinds of LED bulbs accounted for 90% of the total exports, the rest are LED lamps; the second characteristic is the high-end market, the LED lighting products in Jiaxing are mainly exported to the European Union and the United States, European Union accounts for about 40% and United States accounts for about 30%.

Jiaxing put forward a target that the output value of LED industry in 2016 reaches ten billion Yuan, which means that the average annual growth in output value of the LED industry must reach 40% or more in the next few years.
