Monocrystal to Demonstrate World’s First 300 kg KY Sapphire Crystal at Semicon China 2016

Monocrystal, a global leader in synthetic sapphire growing and processing, will exhibit world’s first 300 kg KY sapphire crystal at Semicon China 2016 in Shanghai, March 15-17 at booth #2321, together with its traditional products for LED, consumer electronics and optics.

In July of 2015 Monocrystal became the first company to grow a 300 kg sapphire crystal by Kyropoulos method. That spurred strong excitement in the sapphire industry. To demonstrate its technological leadership and commitment to enabling new sapphire applications Monocrystal will showcase the 300 kg crystal and make a presentation at LED China Conference 2016.

“We are happy to take this opportunity to demonstrate our recent revolutionary achievements in crystal growth at Semicon China, one of the most influential events for LED and semiconductor industries. We welcome our existing and potential customers to our booth to discuss the prospects of large size sapphire applications, which can be enabled by our extra-large crystals,” Monocrystal’s CEO Oleg Kachalov commented.
