Lunera Lighting Reveals Redwood Systems Ready Luminaires

2230 SERIES, 6430 SERIES and 6830 SERIES Designed for Low Voltage DC Control Systems

Lunera® Lighting, Inc. a Silicon Valley company that designs, manufactures, and markets next-generation LED lighting, announced today the commercial availability of Lunera’s luminaires to be factory configured for compatibility with Redwood Systems control solutions. By using Lunera’s new fixture series in tandem with the Redwood Systems low voltage lighting control and building intelligence platform, the combined system will provide facility managers and building owners a quality interior lighting solution that maximizes energy conservation efforts through dimming, daylight harvesting, demand response, peak reduction and occupancy sensing controls.

“We are pleased that award-winning LED luminaires from Lunera Lighting now easily integrate with the Redwood Systems low-voltage, network architecture. The resulting system enables both unprecedented lighting control and energy savings, and new levels of building intelligence and workspace productivity enhancements,” said Mike Virag, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at Redwood Systems. By making the change to digital LED lighting and incorporating advanced controls into the lighting system, customers are able to monitor, adjust, and adapt lighting energy usage. Ambient light and motion control sensors will easily turn off and on, dim and brighten the ultra-thin luminaires.

The new series, available in 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K color temperatures, includes the 2230 SERIES, a 2ft x 2ft grid lay-in or surface mountable fixture, the 6430 SERIES, a 4ft x 7in linear suspended fixture, and the 6830 SERIES, an 8ft x7in linear suspended fixture. All three fixtures have been tested for compatibility with Redwood Systems controllers and have Redwood Systems compatible interconnects pre-installed to simplify installation. Based on the award-winning 2200 SERIES, these Lunera’s fixtures provide consistent light across an installation and are an aesthetically pleasing choice to provide voluminous, soft lighting for meeting rooms, boardrooms, open office spaces, and hallways.

“By synchronizing our technologies, the customer ultimately wins, with lower installation costs, ongoing energy savings, quality controlled lighting and robust building intelligence functionality. This visionary combination can provide over a 70 percent reduction in energy costs and an improved work environment,” commented Rich Warmke, Lunera Director of Strategic Marketing.

By encouraging the use of advanced controls and voluminous near-daylight LED lighting, the resulting lighting system contributes to energy-efficient buildings and LEED certification. In addition to lifetime energy savings, Lunera’s fixtures are manufactured in the USA to further reduce its carbon footprint. Supported by a 5-year warranty, the fully recyclable fixtures contain no harmful chemicals and generate less heat than comparable incumbent lighting technologies.
