Lunera Lighting Announces Expansion of Manufacturing and Design Capability: Facility to Accelerate LED Transformation in Commercial Lighting Market

New Southern California Facility to Propel Company’s Vision for High Velocity Supply Chain    and Custom Retail Offering

Lunera Lighting, Inc., the lighting solutions leader in the transformation to advanced LED technology, today announced its expansion to a new manufacturing and design facility in Anaheim, California. The facility, in addition to Lunera’s headquarters in Redwood City, will play a central role in the company’s ambition to continuously innovate on its technology and designs, ushering in a LED transformation in the lighting space. The company’s new facility will enable greater control over its supply chain and fixture design, accelerating the innovation cycle to offer only the latest, most advanced lighting systems for their customers.

Lunera’s manufacturing and design facility will bring new jobs to Anaheim over the next 18 months, and will be led by the recently expanded executive team, including, Senior Vice President of Operations, Shannon Paul Biggs, Chief Financial Officer, George Sigler, and Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering, Michael Bremser. The facility expansion is part of Lunera’s integrated approach to LED fixture design, applying expert knowledge from the building/construction, lighting and semiconductor industries.

Lunera’s unique approach to LED technology blends art and science, partnering with leading chip manufacturers, and engineering the highest quality fixtures to derive the greatest efficiency out of the light fixture and its technology. In doing so, Lunera’s efficient LED lighting systems significantly lower operating costs for building owners by reducing energy consumption by more than 50 percent, reducing carbon footprints and contributing less hazardous waste.

Additional Facility Highlights:
•    The new facility will be located at 4935 E. Hunter Drive in Anaheim, CA
•    The 26,328 square foot space will house a design lab, with 15-20 designers/engineers once fully operational
•    The facility will manufacture the following Lunera products: SERIES L7- linear LED luminaires for suspended applications; SERIES 22- recessed LED troffer and surface mountable fixture; and custom retail products
