Spectronics Corp. unveils UV-A LED Flashlight for Industrial Leak Detection

Recently, Spectronics Corporation has unveiled the powerful Spectroline® OPTIMAX(TM) 365 - a cordless, rechargeable true UV-A (365 nm) LED flashlight ideal for industrial leak detection. When used in conjunction with Spectroline® fluorescent fluid dyes, it is easy to pinpoint leaks in hydraulic systems, lubrication systems, pipelines, condensers, water storage tanks and much more.

The OPTIMAX 365 utilizes ultra-hi-flux LED technology to produce a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of up to 50,000 µW/cm² at a distance of 6". Powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery, it provides 90 minutes of continuous inspection time between charges. The LED lifetime is 30,000 hours.

The OPTIMAX 365 is extremely lightweight and compact, weighing just 11.8 ounces. It's ergonomically designed to provide ultimate comfort and freedom of movement during inspections. The flashlight has a corrosion-resistant anodized lamp body, which makes it perfect for industrial use in the field or plant. Just the push of a button turns the lamp on instantly at full power. It comes with UV-absorbing spectacles, a belt holster and smart AC and DC battery chargers, all conveniently packed in a padded carrying case. The AC charger is available in 120V, 230V, 240V or 100V versions.
