US Consumer Product Safety Commission Asks Target to Recalls LED flashlights for Fire Hazard

Recently, considering a fire hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of LED flashlight sets sold at Target stores for a full refund.

Target stores of Minneapolis imported around 55,000 6-piece LED Flashlight Sets from China and sold exclusively from October 2010 through December 2011 for about $10 per set.

As the flashlights can heat up enough to pose a fire hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced to recall them. The recall involves 6-piece LED Flashlight Sets with flashlights made of silver plastic with black rubber around the handle and light base. The flashlight sets have UPC code 490021010049 printed on the back of the package. The sets include two small, two medium-sized and two larger flashlights ranging from three inches to 7 1/2 inches long.
