Dialight’s LED luminaires achieve KOSHA certification for S Korean market

SafeSite® LED High Bay and Bulkhead are now KOSHA certified, opening an important new market in S Korea’s dynamic heavy industrial sector

Dialight (LSE: DIA.L)
, announced that two of its class-leading LED hazardous location lighting products have achieved  S Korea’s KOSHA certification. The newly certified products are the SafeSite® High Bay and Bulkhead. Both fixture types are also certified to IECEx, ATEX, UL844 and most recently INMETRO hazardous location standards.

The new certification paves the way for Dialight to penetrate new key market opportunities in S Korea’s booming heavy industries which include steel production, ship-building, automotive manufacture and chemical processing. The country is home to seven of the world’s largest ship-builders whose customers include international oil and gas companies with shipping and offshore assets deployed all around the globe. Dialight’s entry into S Korea’s hazardous location market could not be more welcomed by such companies looking to maximize safety and environmental sustainability while improving their bottom lines, so this sector in particular represents a vast opportunity for Dialight.

“Once again, Dialight has solidified its position as the market leader in LED technology innovation with proven products that are quickly becoming the lighting standard for the world’s harshest environments,” said Roy Burton, Dialight’s Group Chief Executive. “Our portfolio of LED lighting fixtures now enables our global customer base to streamline their supply chain with products that virtually eliminate maintenance, dramatically reduce energy consumption and ultimately improve total cost of ownership.”

Each Dialight LED fixture is available in either cool white or neutral white colour temperature and comes standard with a ruggedized, durable housing and shatter-proof lens that is highly resistant to shock and vibration. Designed for fast and easy retrofit from existing conventional lighting solutions, Dialight products run on a universal 100-277V power supply and are compatible with a wide variety of mounting options and accessories. Each fixture is backed by Dialight’s standard five-year, full-performance warranty for worry-free operation, even in the harshest conditions, including off-shore platforms, frigid temperatures and both tropical and arid environments.
