Macroblock’s Revenue Grows with Mini LED Applications

LED driver IC company Macroblock has registered the highest monthly revenue of 2018 for September, which came to NT$ 305 million with an increase of 14.22% MoM and 16.14 YoY.

Macroblock has targeted fine pitch LED and Mini LED applications with its 16-channel and 48-channel LED driver ICs. As many of its clients have begun mass production of fine pitch and Mini LED products, Macroblock has increased its shipment of driver ICs. The performance of the company is therefore expected to reach double digit growth for 2018.

Macroblock has developed various solutions to meet the demands of different display applications. Its driver IC supporting HDR-Optimized performance has been adopted by Samsung’s LED cinema display. Since Samsung’s LED cinema display has hit the market in India, China, Switzerland and the U.S., it sales would also lift the revenue of Macroblock.

For Mini LED applications, Macroblock has released integrated ICs and it has worked with a Chinese smartphone brand for Mini LED backlight panels. As Mini LED is considered to be the key technology of 2019 and its market penetration is expected to be boosted, Macroblock could benefit from the boost of Mini LED applications.
