AOT Backlight Orders Have Good Visibility for 2013

Taiwan LED packaging manufacturer Advanced Optoelectronic Technology (AOT) performance for 2013 backlight orders is stable. Among the backlight sold, large sized backlights had the best performance. The company has a combined consolidated revenue from January of this year till August of NT$ 4.3 billion, an increase of 35.02 percent from last year. AOT pointed out that since the main markets are in China, Japan, and Korea, entering into the second half of this year customer backlight orders remained steady and has order visibility till the end of this year.

AOT was listed on the Gretai Securities Market on June 25th 2013. Afterwards, consolidated revenue from June till August was 505 million, 573 million, and 658 million respectively, showing a monthly growth trend. AOT’s biggest customer is their shareholder Innolux, making up approximately 29.5 percent of the company’s revenue. The second biggest customer makes up 25.19 percent, and their third Ningbo Chi Mei makes up 14.5 percent. In total, these three shareholders make up a total of 69 percent of AOT’s total revenue.

AOT remarks towards the outlook for the after-market are that the main products produced will being the field of backlight application. Following the slow elimination of the LCD TV in the market, LED TV and display market demands are rising. This has lead to an increase in orders for large sized backlights. This year, aside from Innolux, Japanese and Korean customer orders have also stabilized and current order visibility can be seen already for the end of this year.
