LEDInside to Explore Next Generation Micro-LED Display Technology at LEDforum 2016

Overview

Just as LED manufacturers are struggling in face of the declining profit in the lighting sector and the contraction of the backlight market, OLED emerges as the latest threat to their survival. Elevated by its potential to become one of Apple’s core technologies, OLED has expanded rapidly into various display and niche applications. While the LED industry expects even more challenging times ahead, new opportunities also appear on the horizon. Micro LED, which has been incorporated into Apple and Sony’s product roadmaps, are poised to become a commercially viable display technology that can be mass produced for everyday applications.

In light of this development, LEDforum 2016 will be devoted to the topic of “Next Generation of Display Technology – Micro LED.” This conference will feature industry experts in Taiwan and from abroad as well as the chief LEDinside analyst Roger Chu, research director of Green Energy Business Unit of TrendForce Corp. Together, they will demystify the latest developments in the Micro LED technology and offer insights on the possibilities surrounding this innovation.

LEDinside, a division of the global market research firm TrendForce, will hold LEDforum 2016 on September 30 at National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) International Convention Center. The conference will dissect all aspects of the Micro LED market, including materials, manufacturing, system integration and end applications. All industry professionals are cordially invited to attend this great event!http://seminar.trendforce.com/Ledforum/2016/US/index/img/line02.gif
