Hess AG Extends Asia-Pacific Market with Singapore Office

Hess AG has extended its regional presence through its new Singapore office, in order to improve more access to the Asia-Pacific market.

This month saw the official inauguration of the sales branch in Singapore, the base from which the globally active manufacturer of outdoor and architectural lighting plans to boost sales of LED products in the region.

A specially created display area to showcase the range of products available from the Hess Group provides clients with hands-on experience of the benefits energy-efficient outdoor lighting design has to offer them.

Latest studies forecast strong growth opportunities in the LED segment in Asia-Pacific. According to management consultants McKinsey, the value of the LED share of the lighting market in Asia (excl. China) is set to grow from €1 billion in 2011 to €13 billion by 2020. A growth rate of similar magnitude is anticipated in China, a market in which Hess AG has already been represented for many years through its Beijing-based sales office.

Christoph Hess, CEO of Hess AG, commented that , “We are seeking to secure ourselves a larger slice of the Asia-Pacific market, most especially for the ‘.hess’ and ‘emdelight’ brands. Our knowhow helps lighting designers, architects and relevant public authorities to achieve their objectives. Our bigger local footprint in the region will make cooperation with construction firms and general contractors a lot easier.”
