LiteOn and Everlight Push Automotive Lighting and Invisible LED

Lite-On Technology has reported a revenue of NT$15.5 billion (US$506 million) for July with a decrease of 21.05% MoM and 11.49% YoY.

According to Lite-On, its optoelectronics products accounted for 17% of its total revenue. The optoelectronics division has benefited from the growing needs of invisible LED and LED components and the continuous shipment of automotive lighting. Furthermore, the shipment of streetlights to the Middle East market continues to rise, increasing the revenue by 10% for the optoelectronics division.

LED packaging company Everlight also announced a consolidated revenue of NT$ 2.03 billion (US$ 66.25 million) for July, up by 1.8% MoM and down by 8.1% YoY.

Everlight planned to increase the share of automotive lighting to more than 10%. According to the company, its lighting products have been verified and will be shipped to its clients of tier 1 automotive manufacturers in Q3.

IR LED is another growth driver for Everlight. The company has planned to increase 20% of the production of invisible LED, which currently accounts for 30% of its total revenue.
